Bar Manager

COME AND HANG OUT WITH US!

We are a little neighbourhood wine bar in the heart of West End.

About to enter our 4th year we are really hitting our straps now.

We know who we are, what we want, what we like and what we don’t.

We have spent the last couple of months taking stock on what worked really well and what we could do better for the next 4 years of Frannie and well, originally we thought, opening a wine bar, who is going to want cocktails?

Well, we were pretty wrong on that one.

We have decided it is time to give the Cocktail and non-wine program a glow-up and hand the reins to someone to take charge, a non-wine beverage manager.

Someone to take charge from start to finish and deliver an amazing cocktail and non-wine drink program.

Now before we get too far in, this is a slightly different role, you won’t be in the background hidden away smashing out drinks tickets, this is a customer facing role.

The bar is the centre of Frannie. You have customers sitting right there with you and it is your job to make sure they have an amazing night.

You must be capable of bringing the energy as we get pretty busy and have a very specific expectation of customer experience.

Now, for this role, we don’t expect you to have years and years running drinks programs.
We fully support career development and growth and are more than open to it being your first time creating your own menu!

We are only a small team with a hands-on ownership team so you must be a great fit with the amazing team we have built here.

This is critical as all existing team members sign off on any new hires.

Before we get too far..

The Following Minimum Requirements are specific to the role:
* Be willing to own the program from start to finish, from selecting the ingredients, to prepping them, to delivering the final drink to the customer
‍
* We champion small producers as much as possible with an almost exclusively Aussie bar so we need you to be on board with that.
‍
* Must be able to write a menu that is both super yum, fun and stays within a COGS range
‍
* Be comfortable and capable with ordering and stock management

* The ability to multi-task. You must be super comfortable handling a full docket rail and maintaining the chat with the people in front of you.
‍
* Strong vibes. We are big on hospitality, not just service.
‍
* Be comfortable working solo. You are the bar. We are a small venue so you don’t get 3 other bartenders and a back bar.
‍
* That said, we also want you to be able to train the team. We run a everyone can handle any job model, in case you are out of action so want the front of house team to be able to make your drinks to the same standard as you

* Able to handle turning seats. We do 100+ people a night in a 50 seat restaurant so you must be willing and able to keep your tables moving.
‍
* Availability Wednesday to Saturday.
