Guys!!!!!! Niki from Babche Wines is coming!!

Can not begin to let you know how chuffed we are.

You might know the bottle from the iconic ode to the Matriarchal Babche art that highlights each bottle year on year.

Babche wines feels like “if you know, you know” wine - they sell out quicker then you can blink with an almost “cult” like following of loyal drinkers (including me) who find their expression, electric feels and natural vibes interesting, intriguing and also very yummy.

When Niki reached out to ask if we wanted to hang out we jumped at the chance.

This is the first time that Niki has come to Brisbane in yearsssss - not to mention the first time we will have a line up from her as we were smart and reserved stock early.

Babche Wines is a small, family run vineyard in Timboon, Southwest Victoria.

With wines coming from either their own vineyards are accountable hands from around Victoria.Everything is picked by hand. Ferments are wild. Fruit is basket pressed and moved by gravity where possible. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with much consideration, nothing added. An ode to the Matriarchs (The Babches) in their families who made wine this way, by hand and unadulterated.

Their wines do not aim to meet a style, rather express the nuances of a variety, its site, and the context it is grown in.They are incredible wines filled with love, stories, care and dedication.It is working with growers like Niki that reminds me why we care so much about the small Australian producer and is the reason why we only support small makers in our place. As always come in for a free tasting and a yarns on the patio with Niki with a list takeover and dinner inside.

We are so so chuffed to have Niki and can’t wait to have you back at our place to show off the great and expansive world of small Aussie wines.
